A Magical Pun from Gracepoint Berkeley's Trip to Six Flags

Earlier this week, Gracepoint Fellowship Church's college groups from Berkeley & SF went on a short but magical trip together to Six Flags Magic Mountain (in Valencia, CA). A lot of people's favorite ride was Tatsu, an "Asian-themed" dragon-like ride, so our group tried to go on it a second time as the last ride of the day. But we were cutting it close with time, so I told my group that we should just cut our losses, leave the line, and head back to the meeting spot where we were to rendezvous (or was it Dejavu? Wow, I wonder why that incident with Sister C isn't on the English Patient series on Disgracepoint!) with our other 200+ friends.

Some of them looked sad and were kind of dragon their feet, so I told them, "Hey, guys, I'll just owe you a Tatsu next time, ok? On me."

One of the guys said, "Can we make it a ton-tatsu instead? Maybe at Katsu*?"

While a few friends and I were visiting Texas last week, we experienced some incredible meals there. After Corrie's graduation from 5th grade (yeah!) we all went to Hula Hut. I learned a very valuable lesson about punning with punsters...

Some Berkeley brothers brought home some Rudy's BBQ sauce from Austin. They decided to host a bbq dinner - sort of an Alameda Rudy's Fest. To their surprise, after some people tasted it they said it was only, "All right." The brothers realized it wasn't the sauce that was the problem, but how the meat was prepared.

What a rude awakening it was for those brothers. :)
